Dhanashree Pandit Rai is one of the leading Indian Classical vocalists specializing in the Thumri or semi-classical genre of Indian Music. Besides her concerts she is widely recognized for the lively commentaries that accompany her presentations which enlighten the audiences on the deeper mysteries of Indian music. Dhanashree has been conducting workshops on the Appreciation of Hindustani music and her talk at the TEDx conference in 2010 on “The Essence of Indian Music’ was widely acclaimed.She has also been collaborating with eminent jazz musicians across the globe on world music projects and music albums. Some of her awards include the “Women Achievers Award” by the Indo-American Society”, The Pillars of Hindustani Music Award by the Transasian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as also the “Exceptional Women of Excellence” award by the Women Economic Forum for her invaluable contribution to Indian Music.
Sid Morakhia has a passion for travel, culture and people’s stories and beliefs. He has lived across North America, Europe, and Asia and has also traveled extensively across Africa, the Middle East, Oceania, and in particular: The Indian Subcontinent.
Sid Morakhia was a strategy consultant at PwC-Strategy& in New York where he worked extensively with Fortune500 Companies, Public-Sector Undertakings, and most notably, the United Nations, where he advised on key imperatives under the direct mandate of the Secretary-General. Sid holds an MBA from INSEAD and an undergraduate business degree with honors from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Raahil Rai is a pianist, vocalist, and guitarist whose repertoire spans rock, indie, western. and indian classical, and fusion. He has performed solo, duets, with bands, and a cappella groups across India and in the UK.
